Built 1929-1931. Architect Axel Anderberg.
A former unknown asteroid was discovered from here in Aug. 27th 2000. The asteroid is named “Saltis”.
Built by the Royal Science Academy in 1929 -1931. Architect Axel Anderberg who also was the architect of the Royal Opera in Stockholm, Sweden. The observatories were in use between 1931-2001.

It was inaugurated by King Oscar II at 1893 and a dream that came true by the visionary KA. Wallenberg. The architect is Erik Josephsson who won the architect competition in 1892.
